"As the profession of sport, exercise and performance psychology goes through a notable period of progression, there is an expansion of ways in which a practitioner can work."

One To One Consultations

This is the most common and traditional form of delivery, with sessions typically lasting 50 minutes.One-to-one consultations, which can be
delivered both online and in person, are suitable for those seeking a more personal and individualised form of support.

Psychoeducational Workshops

Although the profession is growing, many have never previously had access to this type of support. Psychoeducational workshops are a fantastic way for teams, organisations, or groups of like-minded individuals to learn about certain topics in sport, exercise, or performance psychology.

Group Workshops

Group workshops are great for working with a specific group
of individuals on a particular area where they need support. Often discussed and planned with a leading member of the group/ organisation beforehand, group workshops have a specific outcome goal in mind that relates to a present concern.

Organisational Consultations

Organisational consultations involve a practitioner
working from a systematic level, aiming to understand, develop, and facilitate the performance and wellbeing of an organisation. This approach will see me working throughout the hierarchy of an organisation, in an attempt to uncover and examine potential areas of support that may help to facilitate an optimal working environment.

Working Within An Organisation

This form of support represents the majority of sport psychology practitioner’s vocations. That is, a practitioner is employed by an elite
sport organisation, becoming part of their sport science department, and offering psychological support throughout the organisation. This role has a variety of individual and organisational demands, often requiring a practitioner to commit a full-time focus to this role. This service would often involve a practitioner providing all of the previously mentioned services.
